Current events

The French-American singer and musician Rosemary Standley first achieved international success with the indie-folk band Moriarty, but she has since participated in a wide variety of other projects. Of these, the duo she formed in 2012 with Brazilian cellist Dom La Nena has proved the most popular. Their minimalist debut album features a seamless blend of Baroque music, American and French folk, and Brazilian musical traditions, in addition to covers of Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen and John Lennon. With their next two studio albums, they only further expanded this eclectic universe, which in their hands becomes a cohesive and timeless collection of songs imbued with profound musical sensitivity.
