A certain gentleman now referred to as Doctor Bat causes chaos at Prince Orlovsky's masked ball. Errant husbands are sentenced to imprisonment, wives itch to betray their husbands and budding starlets appear in disguise. The hijinks and partying end up in a prison yard, but this is where the laughs really start! This champagne-fuelled full-length opera is Johann Strauss's masterpiece and without doubt the crowning event of the winter holidays. Doctor Bat and his friends have one hell of a New Year's ball in store!

Edvin szülei mindent elkövetnek, hogy visszacsalják fiukat Bécsbe, hogy ott eljegyezze unokahúgát, Stázi grófnőt. A cselekményt a kedves, bolondos Bóni gróf és Feri bácsi, az orfeum törzsvendégei bonyolítják. A végén persze mindenki boldog lesz szíve választottjával.
